SUMMARY:RYA OnBoard Junior Sailing
DESCRIPTION:Come and enjoy learning to sail on the tidal River Medway.  We have a fleet of toppers for you to learn the basics before venturing into our double handlers. \nYou will get 2 hours on the water but in order to enjoy the full sailing experience please arrive 30 minutes before the published session start time so that you can learn to rig your own boat. You will also need to de-rig and put the boat away so allow another 30 minutes at the end. \nThe RYA OnBoard programme offers young people the opportunity to try out sailing in a safe\, structured and fun environment. \nOpen to anyone aged 8-18\, the programme enables those taking part to experience all the excitement and relaxation that being on the water offers\, whilst at the same time teaching them a wide range of invaluable life skills\, from problem solving to leadership and teamwork. To enhance the learning experience there will also be some land based activities during the season\, particularly if the weather is poor. \nIMPORTANT: Please wear old clothes and suitable footwear i.e. trainers or water shoes. Flip flops and crocs are not suitable and you will not be allowed to participate. Also bring a towel and dry clothes to change into.
